Twin Studies
"Twin Studies started out as the solo bedroom recording project of Jay Stanley in late 2012. The project grew to a four piece in 2013 after Stanley enlisted the help of other local musicians and friends to complete a live lineup, and released their debut EP, Precious Places, the following year. In 2015 the band released two songs, “Attic Room” and “Space Girl.” After a complete change of musicians except for Stanley in 2016, Twin Studies is now releasing a new record. For this song, we were specifically chasing much more involved guitar melodies while still maintaining a wall of sound and a driving rhythm. This song is the best representation of the rest of the songs on the release because it combines and distills elements of all of them – floating pop riffs, droning guitars, and lush synths." -New Noise Mag

Trunkweed
"Trunkweed began in the summer of 2014 as a collection of bedroom recordings, by singer/guitarist Brady Kelly, called "Days of Haze", which was self-released both digitally and on homemade cassettes. The lo-fi album sparked enough local attention for the project to become a gigging band, this is when college buddies, Tucker Neil and Kyle Phass joined the band to take the music on the road. trunkweed quickly garnered a reputation in the baltimore/dc area as the kind of band you had to experience live, which brought them to booking their first diy tour. on that first tour, by some strange ripple of events, the band had the opportunity to record a live in-studio album, “trunkweed live, man… “, that was released internationally through Miles Apart Records, a Japan-based cassette label. they've since completed a great number of diy tours from coast-to-coast in both the U.S. and Canada. Their restlessness on the road resulted in Baltimore’s City Paper naming trunkweed, “2015’s Best Live Band" as well as making their “Top 10 Albums of 2015” list. Their first studio album, "You Are A Nice Surprise", was released on vinyl by Funeral Sounds (Houston, TX) and Out Of Breath Records (California) in December 2016, as well as self-released on cassette by trunkweed under their own small start-up label called "whatever records". The band spends the majority of their time perpetually writing and recording music from whatever apartment, basement, or friend's house they are living at or happen to be at any given time. This drive for creating music has lead way to the creation of a number of side projects, such as: Cool Powers ( https://coolpowers.bandcamp.com/ ), Loozer ( https://loozer.bandcamp.com/ ) & Zoe Slayer ( https://zoeslayer.bandcamp.com/ ). It is with this return to home recording as their medium that trunkweed decided to take a slower, fuzzier, and generally heavier approach to their unique strain of sad-surfy pop-music by releasing their loudest work to date, "negative universe" in October 2017 via their own label, whatever."

True Blossom
True Blossom formed in 2017 from the thriving Atlanta underground synth-pop scene. The band released their debut album Heater, a sweet and strange collection of disco, city-pop, and classic indie, last year on Citrus City Records. They followed that with a series of tours up and down the east coast.
Their second album, In Bliss, arrives October 23rd, again on Citrus City. Its surface is all sophistication and light - red lipstick, brushed steel, and lace, but an eerie sadness hangs over the whole affair. Though bits of new wave synth and disco percussion shimmer and glow with warmth, the gloom never quite lifts.
In Bliss was recorded in Atlanta by Damon Moon at Standard Electric Recording Co. Founding members Sophie Cox, Nadav Flax, Adam Weisberg, Jamison Murphy, and Chandler Kelley tracked most of the instruments before Jamison left to attend graduate school in Maryland. Newest member Bonnie Hardie joined the band during the sessions, and her vocal harmonies can be heard throughout.
