Palomino Blond
Summer 2021 saw the release of the forward-thinking, self-recorded and produced"Dead Hand"/"Lo Siento" double-single, two radically different offerings to tide fans over until the release of their debut 7-songontheinside EP, which will be released on November 19th, 2021byPalomino BlondandLimited Fanfare(The Sh-Booms, Astronautalis, Ex Norwegian, Heavy Drag.)with vinyl, Cassette and CD availableJanuary21st,2022. Recording of the EP began in late 2019 with the lead single and fan-favorite, "Phoebe." "Phoebe was the first 'new song' we started playing live after we released our initial batch of demos. It's a favorite of ours and has been in our set for over 2 years by this point, but wasn't finished until 2021 due to the pandemic," says Kyle Fink,(who wants everyone to know that the song is NOT about indie songstress Phoebe Bridgers).ontheinsidewas Produced and Mixed byPalomino Blond and Jonathan Nuñez(of Miami heavy legendsTorche) and Mastered by Brad Boatright(The Armed, WRONG, Stranger Things Soundtracks) atAudiosiege in Portland, OR.Acosta points out about Nuñez, "Working with Jon [again] was cool because we got to play guitar through his massive [Nuñez Amplification] amps on a lot of the tracks. He definitely just as focused as we were on achieving that loud, bass-that-shakes-your-rear-view-mirror type of sound."Other standout tunes on oti include "Stone," which was mixed by Grammy-nominated Producer/Engineer/EditorAlan Armitage(Ginuwine,Boyz II Men, N'Sync.)Carli notes that "Stone came together in the studio for the most part. It had a post-punk feel at rehearsals, and then it evolved into this big blossoming neo-psych vibe in the studio. It even feels a little country at some points."The dark and building "Lovely," "Is almost through-composed, with very few repeating melodies save for the reprise of the first verse at the end. To me, it’s like our Bohemian Rhapsody if Bohemian Rhapsody were 3 minutes long." For the title track, "ontheinside" is the result of the bandmates trusting each other's judgment and building on each other’s ideas.Carli re-worked a demo that Kyle wrote and added a new structure and lyrics. Michael built his drum tracks on the fly during the session, with Peter helping to layer the drums and synths, which resulted in a propulsive and hypnotic sound that anchors the EP and exceeded all of the band members’ expectations

MOLD!
With their energetic crossover between hypnotic
noise and catchy melodies, the band with Latin
roots based in Miami has been able to mix their
floating songs with high doses of feverish mosh-
pits, wild dancing, performance, and a captive
audience that yearns to see them perform.
Since 2019, their memorable live performances, in
which they exploit their most belligerent side, have
enabled them to earn a stellar spot on the
independent scene in southeast Florida, as well as
a widespread reception in his native Latin America.
Self-styled as a psychological rock band, Mold! explores the more ominous and deadly side
of the human experience, with bleak songs hovering over shoegaze, post-punk, and lysergic
rock, but with a vibrancy, edginess, and playful darkness reminiscent of bands like The Oh
Sees, Sonic Youth, DiiV, My Bloody Valentine and Joy Division.
From melancholy to outrage, with songs like emotional bombs, and loaded with reverbs and
delays, his first album NO SILENCE! is a protest album that could also be a psychological
thriller, where social discontent, mental health rampage, and all the outrage of our times erupt
into fierce songs to listen to with headphones but especially in festive mosh-pits.
