Rujen
Experts have studied the mysterious name RUJEN for centuries, eager to understand its meaning and the music surrounding it. It’s only as of recent times that one particularly determined genre-scientist was able to describe the word and the band’s music as “some sort of indie-psych-hippie-jazz-rock”. Research continues still to this day.

Shock Tea
- Carefully blending psychedelic inspired modern indie rock with the melodic and textural fusion of the Indian sitar, Shock Tea, based out of Atlanta, offers a refreshing musical experience
reminiscent of the rock, pop, and blues of the 60’s and 70’s while speaking to modern indie rock
sensibilities.
Formed in late 2022, the band comprises Andrew Pangus on bass, bringing his punk and
alternative roots; Quaid Patterson on guitar, with a rich blues background; and Avery Andrews,
a skilled jazz drummer. Fronting the band is Nik Howlett providing the vocals, keyboard, and the
distinctive tones of the sitar.
Their message and philosophy center on exploring the untapped potential of sitar rock. As they
continue to grow, Shock Tea remains committed to pushing the boundaries of the sitar in
modern music while engaging audiences with their unique and captivating sound
