Laser Background hails from Philadelphia but sounds more like a lo-fi mermaid’s psychotropic daydream. The brainchild of Andy Molholt, Laser Background has spent the past 3 years opening for national touring acts like Mac Demarco & Here We Go Magic, touring the US, and releasing strange & fantastic videos, like the three song montage for 2015’s Kelly Wisdom. On his new LP Correct, Molholt further unravels the sonic envelope, hinting at influence from the likes of Syd Barrett & Koji Kondo while simultaneously looking forward towards the murky horizon of human existence. Laser Background is touring the US extensively in support of Correct in May & June of 2016.
