Prime Mover
Best described as Southern Black Metal, Prime Mover’s sound is a mixture of many different elements; varying styles of Metal such as thrash, death, sludge and black metal, classical, punk, southern rock, funk pretty much anything and everything, resulting in something completely unique. Haunting guitar melodies are layered over jarring rhythms. Slow majestic fist-pounding riffs give way to passages of break-neck speed. Vocals vary from mournful to outright blistering. PRIME MOVER is a study in musical Darwinism; constantly evolving, while remaining true to the original beast. From South Atlanta,PRIME MOVER began as the studio project of bassist/vocalist Josh Rogers when his other band Blackness (A legend of Atlantas once proud thrash underground) disbanded some time ago. Josh recorded several demos by himself and with the help of a few friends. These demos were released to critical acclaim from various underground zines and began to create a following for a band that had never played a show. In 2002, Rogers started assembling an actual band to take PRIME MOVER out of the studio and onto the stage. After several shows and several lineup changes PRIME MOVER now consists of Josh Rogers Bass/Vocals, Alan Strange Guitar/Vocals and Ryan Beitz Drums. PRIME MOVER have recorded more demos and have played many shows including opening for Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed, The Haunted, Kataklysm, Bleeding Through, Anthrax, Fireball Ministry, and Dio just to name a few. Their most recent effort “A Monument to Your Sins” is a 3 song, 20+ minute beast of epic proportions. Engineered and mixed by Eyal Levi (Daath, Arsis), and mastered by Metal Legend James Murphy, “Monument…” is a profound work and just a taste of what this band is capable of achieving. Like the universal force from which the bands name derives, PRIME MOVER has the power to create and to destroy and they delight in doing both.

Dead Speak
DeadSpeak was a band formed back in 1986. Known as Disciple, Aggressor and Desecrator, before changing it permanently to DeadSpeak. Original lineup consisted of Denney Jay-Vocals, Joey Guerrieri-Guitar, Kenny Wofford-Bass, and Jody Kelley-Drums. The band called it quits in 1994. In 2003 members of the band reunited to redo their old songs. Along with new songs the band still remains a local Atlanta band.
Update!! As of 2018, band reformed minus original drummer, Jody Kelley. Kyle Reid newly added drummer joins original founding members; Kenny Wofford on bass, Denney Jay on vocals, and Joey Guerrieri on guitar.
