Paten Locke and Jay Myztroh are S t o n o E c h o, a Soul Hip-Hop Duo based out of Jacksonville, Florida.
Paten Locke is responsible for the masterfully crafted musical landscapes. His experience and resume authenticate and qualify the caliber of Hip-Hop represented in the project.
Myztroh’s musical lens infuses his skills as multi-instrumentalist and composer to wield vocal melodies with a rich understanding of harmony and counterpoint.
Despite who’s lead vocalist, a unified voice and philosophy is expressed through the music of S t o n o E c h o. Their name alludes to the 1739 Stono Rebellion. The music serves as a vehicle of emancipation for both the musicians and the listeners. The themes of their songs echo the human experience as a Black Man in America. The artists seek to unite people under their rhythms and move them with frequencies of harmony, love and justice.
As music lovers first their sound invokes the spirits of the greats like James Brown and Jay Dilla while exuding an energy of freshness.

Abby Dear is an Atlanta-based producer and DJ who makes experimental dance music. She got her musical start DJing as a child and quickly found a knack for it which she continues to refine to this day. Later, in her early 20’s, she began releasing original music covering a wide range of genres under the name “Deku” and produced records for herself as well as the Atlanta band, Waking Astronomer (as well as a flurry of remixes for friends and others). A renowned performer, she has also had the honor of playing alongside Dabrye, Shigeto, Samiyam, MONO/POLY, MNDSGN, James Blake, Astronautica, Martyn, Lord Raja, Daedelus, Prefuse 73, Big Gipp, Taylor McFerrin, Young Fathers, Blue Sky Black Death, Com Truise, Deantoni Parks, Richard Divine, LSDXOXO and Free the Robots (among others). She is a resident member of the VLSC Records crew and affiliate of several other renowned dance crews in the South and abroad

She’s a creative and collard green enthusiast with artistic influences ranging from Toni Morrison, Al Green, Lauryn Hill, and Dilla. The Lithonia native has commanded the growing subculture of Atlanta since her 2013 debut EP “Compound/Words,” a jazz-hop fusion record. During the past year, Mo has been releasing a series of projects, including her second project “Space & Simplicity” with Decatur-based producer ProRow."
