Kenny and the Jets
From the creative mind of Kensley Stewart comes Kenny and the Jets, the newest beach band on the scene. From humble beginnings the band was formed in Crescent Beach when guitar guru, surfing-addict and fishing loving Jacob Hamilton discovering 23 year old Kensley Stewart singing power ballads at Shanghai Nobby's. Intrigued by her unique style of blending soul, country, and rock, Hamilton took Stewart under his wing. After producing, recording, and playing on Stewart's first album Woolgathering, the pair decided to form a band. Joining the ranks with positivity and gusto were J Lee Driskell and Kevin Mileski. Driskell fit right in with her amazing surfing talents and even more impressive bass skills, bringing the funk with a Wonder Woman smile. In between shredding the waves and shaping boards, Mileski of BPC Surfboards joined the Jets ready to rock. Since their first break out show at Kensley Stewart's album release show at Planet Sarbez, Kenny and the Jets have blown away audiences at Shanghai Nobby's and the world famous Tradewinds Tropical Lounge. They are most likely found sipping mimosas on Vilano Beach, making pottery in Crescent Beach, shredding waves at St. Mary's Beach, mowing lawns in Davis Shores, drinking Busch at Shanghai Nobby's, or jamming out hard at BPC Surfboard warehouse.
