Scare Quotes
Scare Quotes is a scrappy lil art-punk outfit made up of Lily, Nathan, and Scott. You might’ve seen them play with bands like Floral Print, Food Court, and Narrator, but they’re trying something a bit different this time. Having come together just before the pandemic, each picked up an instrument they weren’t familiar with and, preferring instinct and immediacy over any other songwriting design, lunged into a tangled territory that quickly felt like home.

Split Diopter
East Atlanta-based post-punk / darkwave trio with bassist Nathan Oestry, guitarist Chuck Rosencrans, and vocals / drum machine / synths from Matt Weiner. A fresh outfit from the last year, Split Diopter strikes a balance between alt-rock Americana and goth rock, focusing on melodic foregrounds with emotive backgrounds.
While Split Diopter is a new project, the musicians in the band are far from novice. Matt’s project TWINS (“That Which Is Not Said”) has dazzled audiences for years with his powerfully-calculated electronic material, and Chuck runs with a repertoire of industrial techno work under the name Ghilliam. The melodic powerhouse of bass guitar from Nathan Oestry is a flagship sound of the band overall. The finesse of Split Diopter is a force that displays a dual-focus on chaos and serenity alike.
